People who talk about others behind their backs are pathetic.

I really don’t want to be part of this drama but my roommates are talking shit behind each others back and I’m like right here on the side minding my own business. I CAN HEAR THE WHISPERS AND HATE COMMENTS. 

I don’t want to be rude or nothing but the one who’s talking shit (Jasmine T) needs to stop because she’s just being  hypocritical and fake. You say you don’t like people who are fake or talk bad about others but you’re doing it and it’s really low. 

It’s mean calling her names, an ugly fat ogre, making fun of her weight, etc.

 This is one reason why I don’t do things or go against things because I’m worried someone would talk shit behind my back and I know one would. I don’t find it funny. I hate it when people talk shit or call people names behind their backs. There’s also a difference from stating the truth and talking smack.

For May:

Food Changes: I did a lot of substitutes and bunches of cut offs.

  • Junk Foods such as salty snacks and sugary snacks (chips, candy, etc.) In the beginning I cut it off completely but now there are times I would “cheat” and eat them but it’s always good to limit yourself. Special K snack chips are pretty good but not all the time.
  • Sugary drinks so no more liquids with sugar in them. (Not even vitamin water, crystal light, energy drinks, etc.) Before I never use to drink water at all, mostly only juice, soda, flavored ice tea, anything with taste or sugar in it and now the only thing I drink would be water and green tea. But if you drink juice, only go for fresh juice.
  • Drink water every day, they say 8 glasses or more but sometimes I would drink more depends if I feel dehydrated and I’m always thirsty now. If your “pee” is like noticeable yellow/dark, you’re dehydrated and that’s when I know I need to drink more water XD
  • GREEN TEA! If you don’t drink it now, start to because it’s the best for your body. Zero calories, cleanse your body, and BOOST YOUR METABOLISM! I believe I had the slowest metabolism ever but I started to research and read on how to boost mines up.
  • Always eat BREAKFAST! And I mean it, never skip breakfast. I’m the person that’s like never hungry once I wake up and become hungry after 12pm, also didn’t really eat breakfast during high school. Since I started to eat breakfast, It helped me a lot because it gives me more energy plus helps more with weight loss. 

 Breakfast foods I eat:

  • OATMEAL – one of the best ever, I love oatmeal. It’s a great breakfast that helps you throughout the day and I believe it’s a fat-burning food. I would eat the flavored ones with fruits/toppings (when I have some) such as blueberries, raspberries, bananas, strawberries, raisins.
  • Special K cereal (strawberry) with Silk Soy Milk – I usually eat this when I have no time to make oatmeal or ran out. It’s probably the only cereal I eat even though it can be bad cause of the sugar and carbs but better than eating Lucky charms.
  • I never liked milk or at all and have weak bones cause I don’t intake much calcium but I switched to silk milk and love it more (gives me the same amount of calcium or even more). Dairy milk is nasty to me but start switching to nonfat milk if you originally drink whole.
  • Eggs w/ whole wheat toast – I don’t eat eggs that often but it’s good for protein and when I do, I really don’t use the yolk and use more egg whites (Ex: 1 whole egg, 2 egg whites)
  • Some examples of foods I buy:
  • Oatmeal
  • Fish
  • Chicken
  • Ground Turkey
  • Turkey meat
  • Eggs
  • Tofu
  • All types of fruits
  • Romaine Lettuce (eat this over iceberg lettuce), Spinach, Baby carrots, Broccoli, lots of other vegetables.
  • Hummus
  • Granola bars
  • Light canned soup
  • Light and heart healthy pasta sauce
  • Wheat pasta
  • Whole wheat bread
  • Pita bread
  • Brown rice (I still have white rice but try to not eat too much of it or all the time)
  • Silk Milk
  • Greek Yogurt / light yogurt  
  • Cheese (I try not to eat cheese at all really since it’s bad but I limit myself when I eat it)
  • NO MORE FROZEN FOODS. I’m serious about this too, I stopped eating preheated frozen foods such as frozen pizzas, lean cuisine, hot pockets, frozen chicken nuggets, etc. These are really bad since it’s so processed and full of sodium.
  • Anything fresh is healthier and better (sucks for me since they go bad quick and I have no ride to the grocery store all the time OTL)
  • I never liked instant ramen or whatever really but now I cut it out completely. Just reading the sodium kills me.
  • Try not to buy food outside and cook at home instead. Since I moved into an apartment/dorm, I have to cook for myself and I don’t really eat the food I use to eat cooked by my dad or grandma. This actually helped me a lot because Asian foods are pretty bad with the white rice, high sodium, noodles, etc. Every time I go home, I can’t control myself or don’t cook at eat what’s already made. I eat so badly when I’m at home and probably gained weight.
  • Try to eat healthy snacks or never skip meals. Sometimes I just think I’m always hungry but in between I would eat an apple, other fruits, carrots, granola bar, etc. Skipping meals is the worst thing ever, slows your metabolism and I would die because I love food.

 

  • Salads – I usually make my own salads but the thing is that make sure you are using the right dressing. Dressings and toppings is what makes it fatty and unhealthy. I stopped using thick dressings such as ranch, caeser, thousand island, etc. The only one I kind of use now is “Ken’s Light Northen Italian Dressing” Also, don’t use too much or drench it in dressing. Also in sandwiches, I don’t use mayo at all. I switched to mustard.
  • Oils – Only oil I would use to cook would be extra-virgin olive oil (healthy fat). I don’t really use oil to cook, only when I need to. So like use non-stick sprays to cook for eggs, etc like PAM. I also cut off fried foods a lot.
  • Seasonings – The less salt, the better even though it adds more flavor. I sometimes just use garlic powder, chili powder, herbs, etc.

What I currently just learned:

  • Calories are not the only thing we have to look out for, because before I use to only read calories >__<
  • It’s the Fat percentage (mostly saturated fat and trans fat are the worst! So watch out for those) and Sodium (always bad). Try to go for fat-free foods.
  • I often read the labels now since it became a habit and I would compare them to other foods.
  • Carbs are really bad….but everything I eat or love have crabs, just watch out for good carbs and bad carbs.
  • You should eat a snack before you work out like 45 minutes earlier or so for energy. Drink water in between workouts and take small breaks.
  • Oh yeah, my aunt just told me that you need to take protein RIGHT after your workout like how people say drink protein shakes or so? I can’t afford that but eat anything with protein. She also told me that green tea works~ cheaper way. She gave me some protein bars and she told me that if you don’t take protein right after, your whole workout would be a waste because it helps keeps your muscles in shape.
  • I wish I knew it earlier because….I already had flabby arms when I was more overweight and now it got worse! I MEAN BAD. I guess because I don’t use weights….and always did more cardio and lost weight too fast that my excess skin is just there. I have a lot of excess skin….flabbiness…I should show you one day. I really need to tone up more.

Workouts I did:

  • In the beginning I just went to the gym and did the elliptical and bike. I like the elliptical. The gym was too much for me cause of time so it was more convenient for me to do workouts at home because of school work right after or I had to cook dinner.
  • Jillien Michael’s 30-day shred - I saw people’s progress or results from this and they looked good! Sad thing was I didn’t do it every day which you’re supposed too.
  • INSANITY – Now this one is the one I do, I use to do it daily with my roommates but now we’ve been off track. This is a high fat-burning workout and I mean INTENSE cardio. First day we did it, we were literally dying. Still now use to it now. I mean you just sweat and I sweat way more from doing this than at the gym.
  • If you want to start off easy and think you’re not ready for Insanity, try the 30 day shred. It’s the only home workouts I’ve done.The thing is that when I workout at the gym, I would stop a lot which compared to the instructors in videos, they keep you doing for such a long time because it’ll burn off fat.

Try following health or workout blogs on tumblr, I follow a lot and they reblog or post things that is really helpful and it helped me a lot with advice, tips, what to eat, etc. I’m still learning more about nutrients for healthy eating, etc.

It’ll be more useful than following my advice. I have been so off-track and not been eating that well, exercising daily or sleeping so you can say it delayed the weight loss.

GLEE National performance is being filmed today at my school!

I was om the list to go to the taping but could not attend because we would have stay there from 9am to 1pm. I have my argumentation class at 11:40am and just my luck, there’s an in-class debate today.

I don’t care for GLEE at all because I don’t watch it or have any interest for it, but I JUST WANT TO SEE HARRY SHUM JR. who’s in GLEE. He’s also that dope Asian dancer from Step Up 2&3 and also LXD. He’s so cute ;__;


Ughh jealous of Jasmine and Celia, they told me he came and said Hi to everyone who is there :(

Jasmine and Celia asked me to make Chow Mein for them lol

So Jasmine drove us to an Asian Market XD I couldn’t stop myself from getting snacks and candy. I love Asian snacks~ and omg there’s this Chinese Bakery near it, I went in and my eyes lit up *o*

I bought some custard buns and egg tarts. I’m probably going to gain weight again from eating them…cheating on my healthy lifestyle right now. 

TIME TO WORK OUT AGAIN. INSANITY TOMORROW!!! ajajaja! ;D
